Formerly "Cascadia Quartet", formed in 2015, Award winning Cascadia Strings is an initiative to bring diverse chamber music repertoire to audiences, fusing together iconic original works with well-crafted arrangements of popular music of the last century, all in the vision to bring live, meaningful musical experiences to new venues and music-lovers in Victoria and beyond.
The versatile group is active in bringing live music to the community through many different forms, whether it’d be chamber music collaborations, retirement home concerts, or school outreach workshops & concerts, and also functions as a highly sought-after event music company, performing for special events such as weddings or corporate events across Vancouver Island and the lower mainland. Cascadia Strings has performed across British Columbia, from Victoria to Powell River to Pemberton and collaborated with artists and organizations such as “The Choir”, Soundings Music, Russian Red, Colin James, West My Friend, Westshore Arts Council, City of Victoria, and was the resident artist for the 2021 Mayfair Mall Summer Concert Series. In May 2020, their live-streamed concert at the Beach House was streamed and featured through the Times Colonist.
